The Challenge

The Night of Museums at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews required an outdoor projection installation that would attract visitors and create a memorable visual experience. The projection had to remain clearly visible in evening twilight conditions across a large surface, while audio needed to carry in an open-air setting competing with ambient city noise. A gobo projector also needed to display the museum's logo precisely on a separate surface.

The outdoor conditions posed specific technical requirements: a portable fast-fold screen for a stable projection surface, a high-brightness projector matched to the external lighting conditions, an active sound system capable of performing in open space, and a reliable playback system for the visual content.

Our Solution

We provided a complete outdoor projection setup tailored to the event. We installed a portable fast-fold screen, which delivered a stable, even projection surface in outdoor conditions. A high-brightness projector was carefully matched to the lighting conditions at the museum square, ensuring a sharp image visible even at dusk.

Active speakers — two PA columns — provided directional, clear audio reaching the audience without excessive spill into the surroundings. A dedicated playback system ensured smooth delivery of visual and audio content throughout the entire evening. We also installed a gobo projector casting the museum's logo onto a separate surface, adding a professional branding element to the event.

The Result

The outdoor projection became one of the highlights of the Night of Museums at POLIN, drawing hundreds of visitors. The fast-fold screen provided an ideal projection surface, and the high-brightness projector delivered a sharp, vivid image visible from a distance even as lighting conditions changed throughout the evening.

The active sound system ensured clear audio in the open-air environment without disturbing neighbouring areas, while the playback system guaranteed smooth content delivery all night. The gobo-projected museum logo added a polished branding element to the installation, and the seamless technical execution allowed the museum team to focus entirely on their visitors.
